The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it really is alarmed in regards to the significant range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly SRD functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The services point established for intervention activities a large inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to enable the servicing of all shoppers and boost usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
